CP1992: Digital Map Controller
The CP1992 incorporates all the functionality of the CP1991, along with an extra function button. The enter button in the centre is to allow for expansion and give extra flexability for selection in menus.
The RDDS Moving Map Controller is an interface unit that has been specifically designed for use with the Honeywell Observer Moving Map system but may equally find a use in any system that requires a PC keyboard input / emulation.
The unit features 5 buttons on either side of the unit, these are a mirror image of each other and allow either the pilot or the co-pilot to control the system. There is also a 4 way joystick which is used to move the cursor on the Map.
The unit has a very low power consumption thus does not require any form of active cooling. The CP1992 also uses Single point connectivity for easy fitting /removal.
All RDDS Avionics Limited displays are designed to meet RTCA/DO-160D Standards or higher to ensure high relability in harsh operating conditions.
